RARE BREED 6 POLISH POLAND FRIZZLE CRESTED BANTAM FERTILE HATCHING EGGS
6 POLISH POLAND FRIZZLE CRESTED BANTAM Hatching Eggs Tested —— PLEASE NOTE: UK POSTING ONLY - Please get in touch to find out availability before ordering.
This is a fantastic opportunity for chicken enthusiasts to get their hands on fertile, hatching eggs, the breed originates from Europe…see research notes below…..These eggs have been tested for fertility and the Cockerel is regularly seen covering his hens. When the eggs arrive please wait one day for them to settle by keeping them at room temperature pointy side down for 24 hours before incubating to ensure the best hatch rate.
They are a real treat to see their curly feathers along with their quirky crests strutting their stuff across the lawn. They are very friendly natured birds and I have heard of some being pets indoors!!….not for me but they are indeed enjoyable feathered creatures. Most adorable methinks!!❤️
I post within three days of collecting. “P” for Polish and the laying dates are marked in pencil on each egg.
RELIABLE FERTILITY. WE HATCH OUT ALL OUR OWN EGGS SO WE KNOW THEY ARE FERTILE BUT PLEASE Bear IN MIND THAT EGGS SENT THROUGH THE POST WE CANNOT GUARANTEE FERTILITY. (I have incubated 12 eggs and they were all fertile.)
I use and recommend Brinsea Maxi II Eco (30 hens eggs). Even when you are incubating 6 eggs it gives plenty of room for the newly hatched to stay together waiting for all to hatch. I have had more success with this model than any other.
Hatching Eggs Are Very Sensitive to disturbance. I cushion eggs with tissue paper within the poly box and send they double boxed for the best possible journey. This still does not prevent Courier damage in some cases. Though I have found only one broken egg during last two years.
So if you want EGGS "Through Postal System" then Hatching will be your own risk.
Collection in person can be arranged and is preferable to ensure the best hatch rate.
All eggs posted will be under 5 days old. The laying dates will be on each egg in pencil.
Eggs will be posted on a one day delivery In a polystyrene egg box, double boxed.
I relist regularly as a BUY IT NOW item according to availability. Message me if you have a special order in mind.
HATCHING INSTRUCTIONS:

WARNING: I cannot guarantee fertility after the eggs have been through the postal system but I have had good feedback with good hatch rates. I strongly recommend to collect eggs in person so the hatching rate will be very high.
Normally Hatching rate of Posted Eggs are about 70% and if you collect in person it’s over 90%. (Thats only my previous experiance and not gurantee). If eggs do get broken in the post, or 3 or more do not hatch, I need to see photographic evidence that the eggs have been sent by me with their pencil marks in tact. Please get in touch for special day deliveries in advance so that I can accommodate your request IF POSSIBLE.
NB: RELIABLE FERTILITY. WE HATCH OUT ALL OUR OWN EGGS SO WE KNOW THEY ARE FERTILE BUT PLEASE Bear IN MIND THAT EGGS SENT THROUGH THE POST WE CANNOT GUARANTEE FERTILITY. …..IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY TO TAKE THIS RISK, PLEASE DO NOT BUY.

RESEARCH NOTES:
The Polish or Poland is a European breed of crested chicken. Its origins are unknown; similar birds are shown in seventeenth-century images from Italy and the Netherlands.
The birds have a small v-shaped comb and an abundant crest of feathers on the crown of the head. They are kept for show or for ornament. There are bearded, non-bearded and frizzle varieties.
Etymology
The origins of the breed's name in the English language are uncertain. The breed could have been named after the country of Poland.[3] Its name could have also come from the Middle Dutch word pol 'head' (compare origin of poll tax), in reference to the Polish's dome-shaped skull.[4]
In some European countries the breed is known as "Dutch crest fowl" in the respective languages. In Poland it's known as Polish crest fowl (Czubatka Polska) The old type of the breed, less numerous, was still cultivated in Poland, where it's now known as Old-Polish crest fowl (Czubatka staropolska).
History
Though the derivation of the Polish breed is unclear, one theory suggests that their ancestors were brought by Asian Mongols to Central and Eastern Europe during medieval times, and thus, could have originated in Poland.[citation needed] Crested chickens are seen in paintings from the 15th century, and in Dutch and Italian paintings from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
Though usually only a fair layer at best today, in France they were formerly kept for their eggs. Three colour varieties were included in the first edition of the Standard of Perfection in 1874; additional varieties were added in 1883, 1938 and 1963.
Characteristics
The Polish has a small v-shaped comb, which may be hidden by the crest. The earlobes and wattles are small and may also be completely hidden. Some varieties possess "beards" and thus may also hide the appearance of the wattles. The earlobes are white, the comb and wattles bright red.
Sizzles, Frizzles, and Frazzles
If Frizzles, Sizzles and Frazzles all look pretty similar to you, then you're not alone, but what makes each one different from the other? To be honest, I still struggle to tell them apart and unless you know for definite what each one’s parentage is, it can be difficult to identify them. Over the years I have run into quite a few people who think the Frizzle is feather type and not a breed on its own with its own standards of perfection. There is much speculation about where they originate from and the truth is no one knows exactly where they all came from. However, what we do know is that they are an old breed and that the Frizzle is BOTH a feather variety and a breed all on its own.
The main thing to remember is that Frizzles, Sizzles and Frazzles have only one common thing between them and that is the curly feathered gene or frizzle gene. Otherwise, they are completely different birds. All three types of these chickens have either one or two copies of the gene which causes curled feathers.
A Frizzle is a chicken of any breed with the curled feather gene and is often found in bantams and true bantams. Historically the Frizzle was a bantam Cochin or Pekin with the curled feather gene bred in. Frizzles, like most other ordinary breeds of chickens, have four toes.
